Thousand Gods, Thousand Graves
Person's of Note in the Thousand Isles
Jido “The West Willow” Liumin, Scholar of the first degree. He has taken over the leadership of the Zhenji portion of the city, and by default most of the other Zhenji colonies. Jido is a tall and bent figure in his late fifties. He is a grand architect and has lead the city’s public works in all quadrants. He is smart and has plans, lots of plans. Besides his height, Jido is notable for his pet monkey and willow cane/pointer/dolt swatter. The West Willow is shrewd, demanding and relentless. He is part of the council and had done his best to unite the various colonies in the Thousand Isles.
Kun Yat-Sen is the Head Liberian and Scholar of the first degree. He is also a political ally to Jido in the Zhenji precinct. The two of them have a long ongoing intellectual duel. Sometimes it takes place as who can remember a certain line from an ancient poem or dig their way out of hypothetical moral quandaries. It’s all in fun?!?!? For sure, Jido is proud to have the library in his quadrant (it’s a touch of home) and the head librarian has gotten some preferential treatment because of this. When Kun is not working on reorganizing the new library he can be found sipping tea on the roof of his favorite establishment. Kun has maintained his scholarly collar and robes from Zhenji. Kun lost his daughter, Minh, during the evacuation of Zhenji and still suffers from bouts of melancholy.
